RURAL LIVING

Originally allocated for the development of 4 houses, this sensitive riverside site within a conservation area in Northumberland presented an interesting challenge. Following an innovative master planning process the practice won approval for 12 dwellings on the site. The design acknowledges  the traditional ‘burgage plot’ townscape and uses a  traditional stone envelope to create a contemporary courtyard within.
